Motivation of the founders.
The founders, having worked with inductively-coupled plasma mass spectrometry during their (under)graduate studies, asked the question out loud. Why couldn't ICP-MS be used to study morphology with single-cell/single-particle resolution?
As our founders argue: "microscopy is a fantastic tool. But it has been the bottle neck in our research undoubtedly. It slowed us down so much. If we would have had Scidentify solutions back then, our output would have easily quadrupled." And so Scidentify was born!

I wanted to be at the forefront of science. Enable change. Every bit of output that came out of that period proves that. It became the technology that Scidentify was built around. And as an academic for close to a decade, my expertise lies in understanding the market, the customer and where we as a company need to go. I’m a 100% optimist. My brother is a 100% realist. Together we will make our dream become reality: that every laboratory working with ICP-MS, will use Scidentify solutions to capture the full potential of their mass cytometry data.

MSc in Mechanical engineer from TU Delft focused on artificial intelligence:
After my studies, I became a data science consultant at the biggest IT consultancy firm in the world. Started in an augmented insights role but continued in data science and data engineering roles. I mostly focused on bringing value to the client using productionized cloud based AI solution. My strongpoint is bridging the gap between strategy, operations, and IT technology. I would argue that I bring the macroscopic view to the team. Besides building the AI solutions and (data) engineering solutions for Scidentify.
